About 1% of 1969 Cougars had this option and way less than 1% of Mustangs had this option. Switch hangs down over the radio. This is the factory Ford remote trunk latch as used on luxury cars such as Thunderbird or Lincoln. As you can see from the photo, they are made (and install) exactly like our Cougar trunk latches, but with the addition of a release tab.
