This is from the Ford accessory catalog starting in 1968. This is a rear seat ash tray for cars without center console. Textured plastic construction with typical ash tray and receptacle as found on the rear of the console. FoMoCo boxed with Ford part number C8WY-6504803-A. This is the seat belt bezel located on the rear interior panel on your 72 - 73 Cougar or Mustang. Without it, your belt would retract back into the panel and you'd have to remove the whole thing just to get to the belt again.
