Used C-4 vibration damper for 1968 Mercury Cougars built after 1-2-1968. Transmission tail shaft must have the provision for this bracket. C4 transmissions with either 289 or 302 engines. Shown in the 1968 Chassis Assembly Manual on page 55, aka 4980 assembly. Two different styles of these are found on Cougar c4 transmissions.
