    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

Tested and working all metal 6000 RPM tachometer with correct Seat Belt and Lights indicator lenses. 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 and Eliminator models only. Ford part number C9WF-17360-A.

There is a second manufacturer (See other listing) of this 1970 tachometer which was manufactured by Faria Instruments. It is identified by having a plastic rear housing and a rest for the needle. It has a part number of C9WF-17360-A2.

*Note - Boss 302 Eliminators normally received 8000 RPM tachometers.
*Note - 1969 tachometers had different indicator lenses (belts and lights)

    Core Refunds:

Core refunds are given when we deem the part worthy of being rebuilt. If you have questions on what a good core consists of please email a picture of the part prior to sending it or give us a call for guidelines. Often we can at least offer a partial refund on your core. If you choose to send your cores to us in advance or choose "Hold my order for the Cores", and your cores are not rebuild-able, you will be required to pay the core charge before we will ship your order.

Send Core Returns with a copy of your receipt to:

    WCCC
Core Return for (Your Order Number)
    5377 Waconda Rd NE
    Salem, OR 97305

    Shipping and Packaging Tips:

Tape something over the face of the tachometer, or put them into a small container to protect the delicate needle. We normally use plastic sandwich containers that protect the face of the tachometer from coming into contact with packing materials or the cardboard box. Please make sure that the tachometers are packed so that nothing can come into contact with the needle or black center button.

    So your options are:

    1. We hold your order until we receive your bumper and inspect it to make sure that it is re-chromable, then we ship your order.
    2. Pay the Core charge and we can ship your order right away. You can then send in your bumper at any point at which time we will inspect the bumper and determine if it is re-chromable, and if it is we will issue you a core refund.

An acceptable core tachometer is any 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 tachometer. It can not have cut wiring leads, modifications, or signs of internal tampering. We expect non-working tachometers with yellowed numerals on the face. These are acceptable cores. Please read the Core Returns tab for proper packing and shipping tips.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
