This is the round metal threaded disc that attaches the D0ZZ-6523258-A bushing to the door glass brackets. The ground lug is needed for the heating element in the socket. The consoles are made of plastic and use the common socket designed for steel dashes. This retainer is part of C9MB-15055-A socket and retainer assembly.

This retainer clamps together the two edges of the shroud and sets into the mounting holes on the column. The original is very hard to remove because of the saw blade teeth inside the grooves, and most times the tabs will easily break off. This reproduction will not have those teeth.
