This rod bridges the gap between the trunk lock cylinder and trunk latch. It is held in place by the round spring that attaches to the back of the trunk lock cylinder. This eyelet bushing is made from higher grade rubber and unlike the NOS and other reproductions has a solid center shaft. This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. 1968-70 AM-FM radios would not utilize this part because they have a balance feature. 1967 AM-FM radios would use this part as they did not have a balance feature. Good quality "concours" shroud that is more durable than the "horse hair" textured originals. Fits the 1967 390 & 428 Mustang, Cougar & Shelby with the factory 23" radiator or our aftermarket 24" radiator. Opening measures about 19-11/16" in diameter. This is a good reproduction made from the original Ford tooling and features the original Ford logo. This is for the 24" radiator used in both the 351 Windsor and 351 Cleveland in 1970 only. Made of a different material than original and is 1.76 pounds VS. 2.56 pounds on the NOS shroud. *NOTE* This has the BARNUM BROS. FIBRE CO. This USED shroud was discontinued by Ford in the mid 1990's. It really is no different in appearance from our reproduction, but it does weigh a hefty 2.56 pounds and the reproduction weighs 1.76 pounds. Must have FoMoCo / part numbered shroud for that show quality BOSS 302 or 351C Eliminator. Just like our reproduction, the BARNUM BROS. lettering has been ground off.
