C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1969-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. This is the storage bag that the convertible top cover folds into when the top is in the down position. Ford calls this part the "Folding top dust hood container." Used to cushion and protect top vinyl from excessive wear from side rails. Unfortunately none of the reproductions that we have found resemble the OEM pads. OEM pads looked canvas on the under side that goes against the convertible top rails, and what looked like the soft side of a velcro strip on the upper side that makes contact with the convertible top itself. This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

C9ZB-7653139-A is the part number for the drivers side, C9ZB-7653138-A for the passenger side. These will often break when one hydraulic lift cylinder malfunctions and the other is still working. This scenario will put the top frame in a bind causing one of these cast parts to break. We carefully inspect these before shipment for cracks, worn areas or corrosion.

100% complete top frame as removed from a 69 - 70 Cougar. These tops are identical to Mustang with the exception of the rear bow being slightly higher on a Cougar. We carefully break this down by removing the header and crossbows and placing the original bolts back in the holes. Once you get this from UPS it will be very evident how it goes back together.
