    Description

New product that is in stock and ready to ship!

Unlike 1968 the 1967 xr7 console indicator light bar had no woodgrain applique. This will work fine on your 68 and some prefer the 1967 look over the 1968 version.

We have a few of these with a 1968 Burl Wood Overlay applied to them. If you would like one of these, mention it in the order notes and if we have any remaining will send you one of these.

These two pictures give you an idea what the lights will look like when illuminated. When not lit the text on the colored lenses remains hidden.

Ever noticed how the originals have a chunk of vacuum hose wedged behind the mounting tabs? That is because the originals used the wrong grade of steel and the soft metal tabs would not hold them in place without help. We fixed that by using the correct quality of steel.

    Question
    JimGeorge1 Asked:
2 part question: My "park" light stays on blinking, even though parking brake is off. Where is the switch located so I can replace or deactivate it. If that fails, how is the overhead console bar removed so I can remove the bulb as a last resort. Tks, Jim G

    WCCC Admin Answered:

We sell good used tested switches: ITEM #: 27403

There is a reproduction of the switch, but it required some custom wiring as it does not use the factory plug and requires adding a ground: ITEM #: 15824

how is the overhead console bar removed

If you look at the pics of the console light bar, you can see the springs on either side of the bar.  The console light bar is just held in place by that spring, so it just pulls out.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
