    Description

Reproduction rear courtesy / opera light lenses for the Mercury Cougar. The rear courtesy / opera lights were standard equipment on all XR7 Cougars, but were a popular option many other standard and decor level interior Cougars. If your car did not originally come equipped with them, it is actually quite easy to install them, but you will need to purchase our used housing /socket assemblies. These are fantastic quality and a perfect fit. Sold as a pair only.

    Ford part # C6VB-13B726-A.

*TRIVIA* Did you know that these lights were originally used on the 1966 Lincoln?

The Cougar's rear courtesy / opera lights are easy to install, even if your Cat never came with them from the factory! Check out our video for all the confidence you will need.

Nice add. Two comments if you are adding this option to your cougar:

    1) Watch the video! Very helpful
    2) The electrical connectors are not shown in the video. The factory connectors for the lights are already in your car. These are two pin flat plugs with a male and female side. They will be dangling close to the light fixture location or perhaps taped to the harness nearby. The light fixture single male pin plugs into the female side of the two pin flat plug.

These lenses look exactly right. My originals were still decent so I saved them. These courtesy lenses definitely upped the appearance factor.

How do remove the old bezel & install the new bezel?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
These are just held on by spring clips. Sometimes you can just get ahold of them and pull them out. If not, you can use a plastic trim removal tool to slide under the lip and pop them off. Then just press the new ones on.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
