    Description

Optional trunk lamp. Includes mercury switch that mounts on inside trunk lip, round plastic wire protector bezel, mounting screw and wiring pigtail. Ready to install working part, #631 bulbs available. Guaranteed to work, no cuts or splices.

Can be added to any 1967 - 1968 Cougar and may be able to be added to the 67 - 68 Mustangs, but some Mustang forums indicate the Mustang lamp had a different wire length than the Cougar lamp and this version is stamped with the correct part number for the Cougar, C7WB-13A756-A.

Single wire female connector, located near the drivers side trunk hinge. Self grounds to deck lid, one power lead wire. Mercury switch turns on and off with the raising and lowering of the deck lid.

Factory on XR7 models, part of the Courtesy Light group option. That would be code 'CL', on the buck tags found on Dearborn Cougars.

Don't forget that you can use our new Plasma bulbs for this item, giving you stadium style lighting in your trunk. Get them here.

    Pros:
    • Fits Mustangs also
    Cons:
Other than the part number, this part is identical to the 1967 and 1968 Mustang trunk light, it fit and plugged right in. I can see in my trunk at night now without fumbling for my cell phone.

Finally, I can see in the trunk of my Cougar, thanks to this original light. The post states it includes the mounting screw, but mine did not (the ding on correctness)...easy fix. Instead of using an incandescent 631 bulb, I ordered a pair of 1156 LED bulbs from eBay (shipped for under $5) and it really lights up the trunk well. While this part is not something that will be shown off, it will make the more frequent family trips a little easier when we get to our destinations.

This light was a perfect fit. I expected it too because it came off a used Cougar. Great that we have a place like West Coast Cougar to still be able to get parts that fit for our cars!!!
