Used cigar or cigarette lighter threaded retainer with ground lug. Fits any 1969 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with factory installed console. The ground lug is needed for the heating element in the socket. The consoles are made of plastic and use the common socket designed for steel dashes. This retainer is part of C9MB-15055-A socket and retainer assembly.

Keeper or retainer for attaching the convertible top cylinder pins. These are usually broken when replacing convertible top cylinders. One retainer per side, two used per car. 1969-73 Mercury Cougar and 1967-73 Ford Mustang.This keeper also works very well for the T bolts on the 1969-70 front door window glass channels. Retainer or keeper for door hinge pins on all 1968-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, plus most all other Ford products with a typical door hinge pin. The factory installed the hinges with the pins driven in from the bottom as viewed with the doors installed. Most restorations install the pins from the top so that gravity holds them in. Used steel rear retaining bracket for the headlight switch on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. These are bare steel and will have a bit of flash rust as shown, nothing serious. Replaces Ford part number D1ZB-13B107-AC.

Used rear retainer for the ignition lock cylinder on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Good value, used as they come out of the cars, will have some flash rust since they were never plated or painted, usually it will not come with the small screw. This unit locates and maintains the angle to the dash from behind. Attaches with one small screw, and the bezel and retainer nut secures the whole works to the dash from the front. 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang.

This is the stainless steel trim for the front of the boot that attaches to the back side of the back seat in a 1969 or 1970 Cougar and Stang. This is a very hard part to come by in good shape. Original retainer that clips onto the breather element nipple sticking through the air cleaner base and holds the elbow for the hose going to the PCV valve.  Ford calls this part the Crankcase Emissions Filter Retainer.The Master Parts Catalog says this part is only for 1971 and newer cars, but this part has been found on low mile 1970 cars as well. Ford part # D1AZ-9E628-A.

Push on retainer for rear drum brakes. 2 or 3 of these were used to hold the rear brake drums onto the rear axle assembly during construction of your 1967-73 Mercury Cougar or 1965 - 73 Ford Mustang. While not necessary, these are a neat concours item. Sold individually.  Ford part number 372188-S

Cougar actually used a larger ribbed plate on manual transmission cars without a console but this Mustang part is an inexpensive alternative. The rubber shift boot screws to the transmission tunnel, carpet then goes over it and lastly this retainer slips over the boot and hides the cut edges of your carpet. Retainer that screws to upper rear lip near the quarter glass on all 1969-70 Mercury Cougar hardtops and 1970 Ford Mustang coupes. Ford lists this part as: Retainer - quarter trim panel rear. We see these three ways on 1969-70 Cougars: one retainer in the rear position alone, two of these retainers front and rear, and one small retainer at the rear and one large retainer at the front of the panel.

This used retaining clip was originally used to connect the two power steering hoses together at the power steering box. Used on all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with power steering and V8 engines. Ford shows this item in the chassis assembly manuals and it is called a hose retaining clip, and the Ford part number is D1ZA-3E506-AC.
