These are the brackets required to mount the optional rear bumper guards. They mount behind the rear valance and are often overlooked when people part out a Cougar. *NOTE* As is often the case, service replacement parts are painted satin black and the originals installed on the assembly line were left natural. The mounting brackets are in fact supposed to have a natural finish if your car came with them from the factory.

Our used lower cradle brackets for the 24" wide radiator will always have some amount of damage as shown. We will not send you mangled junk that is heavily rusted but they will require some amount of straightening due to their vulnerable location. There is not a special part number for this angled cup that was originally spot welded to the front of the headlamp switch. We offer these for use with our reproduction headlamp switch. This kit includes the 4 fine threaded "T" shaped studs (with nuts) that mount the backing plate to the spindle and the plate that goes on the inside of the backing plate. These are used parts that are not damaged or corroded, taken from a Western parts car.
