Three wire tachometer for 67 - 68 Cougar. Ford wired their early (pre ‘74) tachometers so that they are part of the ignition circuit. What this means is that if the tachometer goes bad, the engine shuts OFF. It also means that you must either replace it with another series type tachometer with 35+ year old circuitry or install a jumper wire to bypass the tach. Good used pair of taillights that includes two average grade "B" bezels and two used grade "B" lenses with backing plates. No obvious cracks in the lenses but there will be stress cracks that will only be found under close inspection. The bezels will have good chrome with no obvious defects but the paint will need attention. This is a good saving over buying the four or six parts individually. 1968 XR7 and standard Cougars use the same rear wiring harness to the taillights. This is a grade "B" grade harness that may be spliced or repaired. This bracket attaches the vacuum storage tank for your headlights to the core support inside the driver fender. It differs from the 1967 bracket in that an oval hole was put in it to allow the socket and pigtail assembly for the side marker light to pass through the bracket located closest to the fender. 1969 uses the exact same bracket except for a slightly different clip design.
