1968 Mercury Cougar

Used door hinge anchor plate for attaching the door hinge to the body pillar. Passenger side lower only, marked with an "R". Fits any 1968 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Different than 1967 version, this one has a punched hole that looks like the State Utah. This hole locates the anchor plate, and is specific to the 1968 body. This plate will work on 1967 cars, and does fit the cast iron hinges too.Ford part number C8ZZ-6502638-A.

Floor tunnel body reinforcing plate for the floor shifter on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or 1965-68 Ford Mustang. Used plate spot welded to the underside of the floor. Has threaded inserts installed. Contoured differently than other years. We cut, you remove spot welds. Take your measurements for location, before removing your old floor and or tunnel.  Ford part number C5ZZ-6512118-A.

Brass screw in plug for select Autolite distributor vacuum advance units from 1968-71, typically the banded single advance units factory installed. Solid brass, originals were not, we believe that they were cadmium plated. Solid plug, should be hollow, with a 3/4 inch hex head. Works as it should. Fits most all vacuum advance that have a plug in the end as shown. *Note, when removing the old plug, there is a spring and washer inside. 

These are always rock-hard so if you plan on removing a seat and do not want to boil your old rubber parts to make them pliable enough to reinstall then you will want to pick a set of these up. Plug size: 1 1/2"   also used for the electric headlight conversion kit for the firewall pass through body plug.

Used brake switch plug end, the one that plugs into the brake pedal switch for the brake lights. These often times get hot and partially melt. Easy to change, no cutting or splicing of wires. The female spade plug end just releases from the plug end, look for the release tab for beside the wire on the back.

Rubber protection sleeve that attaches to the front bumper brace tubes. 1968 Mercury Cougars only due to the front side marker lights. Attaching point is where the front side marker wiring harness touches the bumper brace. Pliable rubber hose slit as shown, about 1-1/2 inch long for those that want to make their own. Looks like 15/16" ID thin wall rubber tubing. Sold individually, two needed per car.

This plastic plate / bracket is installed between dimmer switch and the floor of your 67 - 73 Cougar to provide a bit or protection for the wiring.

This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line, and different routing (through the transmission tunnel), and did not use this part. Mounting bolts included.
