Assembly required

This high quality corral fits perfectly and the chrome plating is well beyond what Ford originally did. The mounting studs are placed in the exact position as original. We have offered the walking cat and black background for sometime now but the challenge has been getting your used corral (or rectangle frame) remounted after you break off the studs to remove the assembly.

Replacing this emblem assembly is probably (for the money) the best way to improve the looks of the front end on your Cougar.

This corral comes with the black background, walking COUGAR emblem as shown, as well as the 6 spring clips needed to assemble and mount to the grille. Both the cat emblem and background are licensed by Ford.

What a difference!

After 58 years of UV damage, my emblem was looking pretty sad. This repo fit great and really changed the look of the grill. Only ding I can think of was the spring tabs needed a bit of massaging to hold and since I wasn't totally comfortable with them as the only retaining mechanism, I hit them with just a tiny bit of epoxy for my piece of mind.

Looks great

Until I watched one of Don's videos a few days ago, I didn't know the background on this emblem was supposed to be black. The new one looks great and was easy to install. Makes the grill look much nicer than the old faded one.

Great Reproduction

This is a great quality reproduction that didn't need to be changed at all to fit.
The black background "decal" didn't need to be files, as it fit perfectly. It would be nice if it came preassembled, but it was super easy to do.
The only issue I had was with the clips. Some did need some bending to even do anything. Even after bending and getting everything as tight as I could, the whole emblem wiggled a bit, unlike the original.

Very Nice

Emblem is shipped in pieces and is not an actual assembly but everything is super simple to assemble yourself. Great fit, I did not have to trim any of the background decal to make it fit in the coral. You might have to take a small screw driver to bend out the clips a little to get a tighter hold on the cougar emblem. Can't wait to get it on my restored grill assembly.
