This armrest is correct for the 1968 Shelby / Ford Mustang, but works well as a reasonably close substitute for the 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. The contour is the same as found on the 1968 XR7, the 1967 XR7 had more squared off edges. These barrel nuts or clips are exactly like the original ones inserted into the trunk for attaching 1967-68 "Mercury" script, and 1971-72 Mercury Cougar "Mercury" Hood scripts. This is the correct horn panel bezel for all 1968 Cougar XR7 steering wheels. The satin paint will need to be resprayed but the two mounting studs are in place and there are no cracks or burns.
