We offer this "Core Grade" assembly for those who purchase the various 1968 reproduction air conditioning bezels. This assembly will provide the needed 'guts' for behind the various 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang A/C and heater control bezels. A Complete A/C heater control assembly includes bezel or face plate, bracket control mounting plate, electrical and vacuum switches, and hardware. This plate is what is located on the backside of your door jam where your striker threads in one. Two threaded holes for attaching the striker plates on any 1967-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Right and left are the same.

Anti rattle pad that hooks onto the top edge of the front bumper brackets. These created a soft cushion to prevent the stone deflector from coming into contact with the bumper bracket. These were originally held on with friction tape, same type of tape that Ford used to wrap the wiring harnesses. Sold individually, two needed per car.

Reproduction anti-squeak pad for the leaf springs found on the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This little unit goes between each individual leaf spring and prevents metal to metal contact. Burl woodgrain applique kit in the Burl wood design for the 1968 XR7-G console switch panel. This 3 piece kit includes narrow strips for the chromed edging on console and the fog light and sunroof switch bezel. Color and grain is very close to the originals. The contour is the same as found on the 1968 XR7, the 1967 XR7 had more squared off edges. The texture is not course like the XR7, but rather smooth to match the grain of vinyl on the perimeter of the XR7 door panels, sides of seats and Cougar dash pad.
