This rubber plug is found on the bottom side of 68 and 69 Cougars without tilt column. It covers the access hole for the bolt that removes the column head / collar. This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. This is a very rare wheel found only on early XR7-G models. Soon after being put into service, the wheels were found to have multiple short-comings including flexing, cracking and lug seating problems. They were officially recalled and replaced with the Kelsey Hayes 5 spoke SS wheel. The original manufacturer of the XR7-G wheels was Trans American Products. Factory radio delete or block-off plate from a 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Used grade A radio pad for the center console of the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. The color will be right and bright and there will be no cracks or warping. This unit will be mint, no excuses! *NOTE* We rarely can provide the color you need due to the very limited supply we have. 

This is going to be a grade "B" pad, so expect it to show signs of warping and de-laminating. It will most likely be sun damaged, and the holes around the radio knobs may be elongated. Fits any model that used the banded Midland-Ross booster. This Bakelite hub can be seen when you remove the dust boot. It is a very brittle fragile part that gets broken when you drop the booster, attempt to bleed the brakes with the engine running or install the wrong brake pedal.
