This bracket attaches the vacuum storage tank for your headlights to the core support inside the driver fender. It differs from the 1967 bracket in that an oval hole was put in it to allow the socket and pigtail assembly for the side marker light to pass through the bracket located closest to the fender. 1969 uses the exact same bracket except for a slightly different clip design. This is an accurate reproduction of the tie down notice decal that was placed on the rear license plate frame. This was to remind dealers to remove the tie down plates that were used to secure the cars to the transport trains / trucks on their way from the factory to the dealers.
