Although not visually correct, it will work just as well in a 1968 Mustang or Cougar. Click on images to enlarge. Sprayed with black flocking on the front side and color coded to the console base on the rear side. We have several colors in stock but cannot guarantee you will get your desired color. Will have at least one broken tab for mounting. A drop or two of glue will be needed to attach to the console.

This check valve is located in-line just behind your carburetor. To test it simply place it in your lips and try blowing through the side with the single port. You should be able to breath in and not breath out. If this valve is bad you will find the headlights opening up after the engine has been shut off on your 1969 - 1970 Cougars and your tilt away function not working correctly on your 1967 - 1970 Cougars equipped with a tilt column. Midland boosters with power drum or power disc brakes and includes the grommet. The check valve diameter is 0.830" for a 13/16" hole and the hole in the Midland boosters is right at 1.040" in diameter.

Screws onto the cylinder head smog tubes. Sold individually, two needed per application. Ford part number C8AZ-9A487-A.New old stock Ford.

Carburetor choke pull off for most 2V and 4V Autolite or Motorcraft carburetors 1958-74. Diaphragm with a hook on it, to 'pull off' the choke. Ford basic part number is 9J549, part of the dashpot assembly. We do not think that it will fit Holley carburetors. Also fits AMC and Jeep that used Autolite and Motorcraft carburetors.

Used on 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Lincoln Continental for the tail lamps or running lights in the rear, located in the trunk drivers side upper rear corner. Also used on 1967 Mercury Cougar and Ford Thunderbird for the headlight vacuum solenoids, mounts on panel under the dash board for that application.
