This armrest is correct for the 1968 Shelby / Ford Mustang with Deluxe interior, but works well as a reasonably close substitute for the 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. The contour is the same as found on the 1968 XR7, the 1967 XR7 had more squared off edges. The texture is not course like the XR7, but rather smooth to match the grain of vinyl on the perimeter of the XR7 door panels, sides of seats and Cougar dash pad. It does not look out of place in my opinion and is what I would consider to be average to good quality. This is a good option considering the price and availability of excellent used XR7 armrests.
Color on these is inconsistent and never spot on to the original.
