    Description

This poster is a meticulous recreation of the 1968 original that Lincoln-Mercury dealerships had on display in their showrooms to advertise the Cougar XR7-G. We were able to have an original poster professionally scanned, the images were restored, and the text carefully recreated to match the original. The result is a fresh new version of a rare, iconic display piece.

This 24" x 36" poster is smaller than the original, which was a massive 36" x 48". This makes it easier to display, and easier on the wallet too. For those wanting a more authentic piece, we do offer this poster in its full-sized glory - see these concours and corrected versions.

For this downsized version of the poster, we've chosen to correct this mistake. For the purists, however, we do offer a full-size "concours" version complete with the misspelling.

    Cons:
This is an excellent poster for any cougar enthusiast especially if you own an XR7-G. I was very happy with the size of this smaller poster as it allowed framing for mounting onto my bedroom wall. The full size must be for garages as this filled my wall. I was concerned after removing the back from the frame as the fit of the poster was tight. My son thought the poster should have been an eighth smaller, but it did fit. The frame was purchased from Michaels a local craft store. I am happy with this poster and would recommend it.

    Pros:
    • price
    Cons:
    • need to handle carefully
Bought the small reproduction poster and am very happy with it after buying a frame and mounting it. Have to be careful when handling not to get creases in it, so if you can avoid that then you'll be pleased with the result after mounting. Great to have this original poster to go along with my 51 year old XR7 (67, sure wish it was a "G"), since you can't beat the price!
