This is the most complete kit available for the steering box with 1 inch sector shafts. Comes complete as shown. Reproduction rebuild kit for your EARLY short shaft 1967 Cougar or Mustang steering box only with the 1 inch diameter sector shafts. Needless to say, having a faulty steering box can be quite dangerous. If you hear grinding or popping sounds coming from your box, it may be time to rebuild it. We do offer a rebuilt steering box, but if you're good with your hands and on a budget, you can rebuild your box with this kit. SMB-B and SMB-C, tagged steering boxes. Warning - Excludes Late 1967 and all 1968-70 Steering gear boxes with 1-1/8 inch sector shafts (SMB-D, SMB-F, & SMB-E).
