Can be used on fixed and tilt columns, from 1968-73, on all Mercury Cougars, Ford Mustangs, and most all other Ford steering columns with a lower tube with inside diameter of 1-5/8 inches. The originals have almost always disintegrated. Adhesive probably isn't needed, but we recommend just a little drop of something to hold it in place. This is a dense foam insulation ring.
