Fits all Mustangs, Cougars, Fords 65-70. Attaches the striker on the door pillar, the big screws. Little known fact: these aren't Phillips head screws, they are actually Pozi head / Pozi-Driv screws. While you can usually get a large Phillips screwdriver to work, the correct tool for these fasteners is a size 4 Pozi bit.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. You will notice the reproduction has a larger head (The two on the right in the lower picture are repros) than both of the used versions typically found on 67-73 Cougars. Reproduction foam seal or gasket for the Bendix style disc brake vacuum booster. The MPC books indicate that this seal was used between 1969-71, our guess is that it was deemed 'not needed' after 1971 as a cost cutting measure. We still like to use them though.Ford part number C9ZZ-2B022-A.

When it's time to replace your old decaying foam seal, go with our reproduction weatherstrip retainer foam roll with peel off adhesive. Goes between the roof and door / window channel. These are not technically manufactured to fit the Cougar / Mustang, however these are very close to the originals and come from the manufacturer in a roll that is 4' X 1" X 1/8". One roll is more than enough to do one side, but you will need 2 rolls to do both sides. ...

We suggest using white lithium grease or petroleum jelly to ensure the seal will not stick to the shift lever. Fits 1969-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, additionally it also fits 1971+ Maverick and Comet with floor shift automatic only.
