1969 Mercury Cougar

If you find that this tube has too small of fittings for your OEM 4150 / 4160 Holley carburetor than what has happened is that someone has replaced your transfer tube and fittings with one of the after-market kits available at speed shops. This is the ONLY correct transfer tube for a Cougar equipped with a Holley from 1967 - 1970.  Ford part # C9AZ-9H576-A.

Good used 1969 grille center in average condition that will be driver quality or good for rechrome. The grille will look good with the hood closed but when you inspect the backside there may be signs of a professional repair. Reproduction grommet that seals the heater hoses and A/C lines where they pass through the firewall on the passenger side. Made from closed cell foam, as opposed to the originals being rubber.* Note - Used starting during the later part of 1969. Compare the evaporator line orientation for both years.

These are reproduction heater hose grommets for the heater hose to pass through the firewall. Most of the firewalls that we have seen have a flared opening for the hose without a grommet. These are a more dense rubber than our other versions. Still not sure that they are needed?

This is the harder to find tail pipe hanger as it was only used on dual exhaust cars. Will have usable but cracked rubber. Mounts to the frame on the left side of the fuel tank. This two piece heat shield has a very narrow application in that it is a one year only item and only for the 390 IP (Improved Performance). It does not mate to metal a "S" shaped heat riser tube but rather a flexible paper-foil tube that attaches to a reducer on the bottom side of the snorkel. This original Ford service replacement hood scoop is the same as a factory installed scoop except that it does not have the embossements for the hood grille used on the very first Ram Air Cougars (prior to September 1968) and it has extra mounting stud receptacles for use on multiple applications such as the Comet GT and the Mercury Cyclone.
