1969 Mercury Cougar

Good used plastic emblem with no peeling chrome. This was used on all models except XR7 on the right side. We also have the metal version of this emblem available.

Grade "A" pit free original metal emblem for your Eliminator or Standard model Cougar. If you look closely at our picture you will in fact see tiny imperfections in the chrome. We rarely ever get flawless examples of this particular emblem as the original plating was substandard (in our opinion). This emblem was used on the standard, decor and Eliminator models.

Decent reproduction of the 69-70 Cougar fender extension COUGAR script. This emblem was used for 2 years only and was located on the driver side front fender extension (fender cap). The originals came with speed nuts but these have push on clips from the back which means they are easier to install as no tools are needed. Ford Engineering number as found on the backside: C9WB-16098-B Ford number C9WB-16098-A. Note that the 1970 version stamped D0WA-16098-A is slightly different, most noticeable on the letter "C".

Good used center with minor cracking, missing paint or maybe even a broken mounting tab. This was used on all 1969 Cougars with a three spoke wheel except the XR7.

Very rarely do we find one like this example that shows no sign of fading. This is for the person who is trying to achieve a very high level of preservation / restoration.

Good used center with no cracks and an average amount of fade most noticeable in the red portion of the emblem. Many of these emblems are broken or missing because people think this is the horn button and if they just push harder the horn will sound!

Reproduction silver walking cat emblem / insert for the 70 Eliminator T shift handle. Often times these little emblems are missing from the shift handle because the adhesive has worn out and the emblem has fallen out and gotten lost. While technically for the 69 - 70 Eliminator, this handle will fit on any 67 - 73 Cougar with the automatic transmission.

This small sized Cougar emblem (1 3/8" long) was used on 1969 - 1973 Cougars without AC. It was affixed to a block off plate in the very venter of the dash by two peened over die cast studs. It will glue back in place nicely and many Cougar fans have found fun "custom" applications for this attractive piece. This emblem will not be pitted or scratched in any way.

Since our restored emblems look so good we have a hard time selling NOS these days which works out just fine as we only seem to be able to obtain 1 of these every few years. Keep in mind your used cores have trade in value against this NOS part. This is a used coral with a new background decal and walking cat emblem. We ship the three parts unassembled so you can re-chrome the corral if you desire. This reproduction driver side (left hand) emergency / parking brake cable fits from the equalizer to rear brakes. 1 required per vehicle. The cable length is approximately 29-1/2". Reproduction 351-4V AT / MT Emission Decal for the 1969 Mercury Cougar / Ford Mustang. We just sorted these out as of 7/8/2024. The H and M code 351 engine decals have been identified incorrectly since these reproduction decals were created. 575rpm for automatic and 675 rpm for manual transmissions is correct for M code 351W-4V engines in 1969.

Correct for your 1967-68 Cougar or Mustang with A/C, but will work just fine in all 1969-73 Cougars and Mustangs with A/C. These pieces are also an excellent option for 1969-73 Cougars and Mustangs without A/C because it will give your heater core a better tighter fit inside the heater box.
