This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

This "Stick On" Cougar rear deck emblem was only used on models without the XR7 package. They are often missing as once the factory double sided tape dries out they are often lost forever. We also have a few very nice used examples in stock.
We often get asked about where to place 69-70 XR7 and Cougar adhesive emblems. Based on personal experience and pictures from the original Ford archives the answer would be "Pretty much wherever you think looks best". Often as seen in this picture the line workers did not even attempt to get them very well centered. Both emblems were placed on the RH side of the deck lid "somewhat" centered.
