C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Correct for your 1967-68 Cougar or Mustang with A/C, but will work just fine in all 1969-73 Cougars and Mustangs with A/C. These pieces are also an excellent option for 1969-73 Cougars and Mustangs without A/C because it will give your heater core a better tighter fit inside the heater box. If you choose to go this route on your 69-73 non A/C car, slight modification to the ends caps will be required to fit. Your just going to cut a hole in one of the end caps. Easy cheesy, no sweat.
These are not part of our heater seal kit and often times used examples hold up just fine. If you have pest damage or a long term leak of coolant you will want to replace them because of contamination.
Check out our videos below on how to replace a heater core! We now have separate videos for the first generation ('67-'68) and second generation ('69-'70), both with A/C.
