Description

These keep the trunk hinge spring rods from rattling. These are a reproduction of the anti-rattler for 67-68 Cougar / 65-68 Mustang.

Replaces Ford part # C5ZZ-6545028.

These also work for the 69-70 Cougar / Mustang better than what came factory, which, according to the Ford MPC, for 69-70 would have actually been 1/8" x 7/8" Vinyl Foam Weatherstrip Tape, Ford part C6AZ-19627-A.

Worked perfectly!

I would hear a rattle once in a while from the trunk area in our 1973 Mach 1. I never suspected the torsion rods would be the cause. But, I saw the description for this solution, and ordered it along with some other items. It was easy to slip on, and now no more rattles are coming from the trunk.

Nice added touch. Bought two pieces per tension rod to conceal ugliness of rods crossing above spare tire, blends in nice.

Anti Rattler - Tension Rods

Could not pinpoint the annoying "tinging" coming from the trunk. Bought these as a possible solution. High quality material, perfect fit, easy installation. Best of all, no more noise from the trunk.
