This replica tag is of a lower quality than the originals were. The aluminum stock from which this Mercury Cougar A/C tag is made, is about half the thickness of original and the font, instead of being white, is unpainted aluminum. This is a cheap looking, and feeling, part compared to the original. We do have the clip that holds it in place. Check out the product images for an example of factory placement for this tag.

Assembly comes as shown: fiberglass two piece housing, flapper door, and a couple of clips to hold it together. Grade A used may have a minor stress crack or small chip. This is a used A/C center vent attaching clip. Two required per center AC vent, the two tiny tabs fit in the holes on the sides of the vent assembly and when you tighten the Phillips screw it will pull the vent tight against the dash pad. Very hard to come by, others have used silicone to bond the chrome vent in place when clips could not be found.Replaces Ford part number C7AZ-14570-A.
