This eyelet bushing is made from higher grade rubber and unlike the NOS and other reproductions has a solid center shaft. The center shaft of this reproduction is a flat piece of steel that is bent into a circle to make the shaft for the eyelet bolt to go through, just like NOS. This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. 1968-70 AM-FM radios would not utilize this part because they have a balance feature. 1967 AM-FM radios would use this part as they did not have a balance feature.
