    Description

This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. If your inner knob is loose and will not align, you will want to see if this part is in place. 1968-70 AM-FM radios would not utilize this part because they have a balance feature. 1967 AM-FM radios would use this part as they did not have a balance feature. Called a "Sleeve" 1969-70 Cougar and Mustang AM radios use this sleeve. Also found on various 1970-76 Ford and Mercury cars such as Galaxie, Fairlane, Torino, Ranchero, Falcon, Montego, and Thunderbird. The knobs shown in the example are the reproduction 1968 radio console knobs. We also sell the 4 knob set.

*Installation Tip* Orient keying tab so disc arm is at 6 O'clock position.

    Replaces part # C7SA-18A945-A.

    Pros:
    • Works as advertised
    • fits great
    Cons:
    • difficult to install at first
    ... wow that sounds bad.

But seriously, this little doohickey worked great on my AM radio. I did have a little trouble getting it to fit the 'balance/fader' knob at first, but after using a knife to very gently round the corners on the "D" shaped connector, I got it to fit. After that it was a simple matter to get everything installed on the radio, and it works great! Just be patient and take your time.

    Pros:
    • Rare part repro
    Cons:
    • Too tight
It’s a great repro part but it it a little tight. Felt like I was going to break it sliding it on. Knob turns but it’s tight. I assume it will loosen over time.
