1969 Mercury Cougar

Pair of used wire anchors for keeping the rear most headliner bow stationary. These are fragile wires, and prone to rusting. We try to keep them in inventory. 1969-70 anchor wires are 3-1/16 inches long. A DIY person can improvise these pretty easy, using lengths of regular wire.

Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1969 - 1970 Cougar headliners are not the same front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must keep the rods in the same order as they came out of the original headliner. 5 Rods total. Reproduction frame used to stretch your headliner over on the interior side of your sliding sunroof panel. Since we do not have near enough of these to go around we also offer a cardboard template for purchase for those of you that would like to make your own. With the pictures we provide and the template one should be able to produce a reasonable reproduction. 

We found that the plastic adjustment clip can break easily on these reproductions, so consider buying a good used original Ford part instead, for around the same price. Find it here.

Factory installed, used engine mount heat shield, for any 1969-70 Boss 302 Mercury Cougar Eliminator or Ford Mustang. Mounts to the driver side mount and the asbestos portion lays under the exhaust manifold. These are getting so hard to find without a broken drain cock or rust in the metal lips. The unit pictured here is typical of what you can expect when you buy out used complete box. Plan on repairing the drain cock or other minor cracks. All doors will be functional, we will not promise the evaporator is good and we do promise the heater core will be bad.
