Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Used grade "A" passenger side (right hand) grille half for the 1969 Mercury Cougar. These will be the best we have available, taken from a Western parts car. The horizontal bars will not have any breaks or cracks, the chrome will not have any pits on the face but you will see minor pitting between the horizontal bars on the black painted areas. Often there will be a crack where the tension spring for the headlight attaches but we will include one of our
grille repair clips if that is the case. These grilles come naked (all parts removed) and will need a substantial amount of polishing and detailing, all the black painted areas will need to be refinished. Keep in mind we have other grilles that would qualify as a grade A- for less money, those often will have a crack where they mount to the core support.
