    2 Cougar / 2 Mustang Applications

    Description

New sealed bearing for installing on your 1968-69 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang idler / tensioner pulley. This bearing is physically smaller than the bearing used on the 1968-73 idler pulley (1968-73 bearing sku: 10462). The 1968-73 idler pulley assembly came as a "service replacement" on 1968-69 cars. The center portion of the pulley, where this bearing would press into, has an inside diameter measurement of 1 3/8". On the larger bearing pulley, this measurement is 1 9/16". Both versions of this bearing will require press fitting and the idler pulley assembly for 68-69 will not have part numbers stamped on it. This small bearing fits on the 0.620" shaft. Large and small pulleys are matched to their respective brackets, and cannot be interchanged. Meaning the inside and outside diameters are different for each bearing.

This is a great little item. Save yourself the hassle of figuring out what the modern part number is and forget the trips to the parts counter. Order a couple of these, watch the instructional video and go to work. You won't have to do the job again as long as you have your car.
