1967 Mercury Cougar

All of our used insulation hood pads are guaranteed to be filthy dirty, less than perfect (as shown) and include at least one spider. We cannot fold these to ship them and they are too large for UPS. You must pick them up in person or we can ship them for free when you purchase a hood from us.

Used XR7 grade "A" main under hood wiring harness located in the engine compartment. This harness has plugs for the head lights, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, windshield washer pump, and horns. All electrical harnesses are inspected, tested, and ready to install. This reproduction universal joint fits the differential end of the drive axle and is used on all Mercury Cougars or Ford Mustangs equipped with the 289, 302, 351 Windsor as well as most 351 Clevelands (see chart). Includes a grease fitting for extended life. 3.25" span cups are 1.12" and 1.00" diam. Replaces Ford part # C3AZ-4635-F.

Most times you do not need new hinges but rather new bushings and pins. If your hinges are such that the holes are "hogged out" and no longer seat the bushing firmly then you will need to buy one of our good used hinges that come with new bushings and pin. This unit mounts on the main air chamber, it opens and closes the air vent. Made of nylon with a steel and brass plunger just like original. Vacuum tested working hot water valve for Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs equipped with factory A/C. This valve stops the flow of warm coolant when the A/C is on and has the original cast brass valve with bracket and vacuum pod. We are unable to guarantee that the water seal is good. This threaded replacement wand will require you to cut 8/32" fine threads in your original controller. Your OEM mirror controller is made of a very soft metal so one can often install these as "self tapping".1967 and 1968 are different, see comparison picture. The 1968 version was rounded off due to new safety standards. The mirror nut tool will fit over the 1967 wand, but not the 1968.
