Ford called this part a 'sleeve'. Attaches to the lower shifter arm with a hitch pin. Has nice bushing, with correct nut, washer, and pin. The 1967/68 and 1969/73 versions are identical. Reproduction front armrest in saddle for the Mercury Cougar. This unit is ambidextrous, meaning it will fit either the driver (left hand) or passenger (right hand) sides. Although many vendors would disagree, these are in my opinion average quality. "BUT" they are the best available reproductions on the market at this time. These barrel nuts or clips are exactly like the original ones inserted into the trunk for attaching 1967-68 "Mercury" script, and 1971-72 Mercury Cougar "Mercury" Hood scripts. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

Front retractor bolt, used in conjunction with two rubber spacer / washers and one washer. The two rubber washers go on either side of the re-tractor mounting hole and the metal washer is against the inner rocker.
