1967 Mercury Cougar

Bolt that goes through the air pump mounting bracket, effectively hanging the alternator down low. Alternator rotates on this bolt. Bolt size 7/16"-14 x 3.75" long.

This is an OEM original with 3/8"-16 threads. Overall length according to the MPC is 9 inches, with 3-1/4 inches being threaded but we have found almost without fail, the actual length is 8" with 3 1/4" of threads. We also carry the OEM hold down wing nut or spinner nut Mercury Cougar part number B9AZ-1462-A. Additionally, look for the wheel centering plate or disc, part number C5ZZ-1424-A. Item for sale in this section is only the J-bolt.

Used cast iron pedestal mount for the A/C compressor for Cougars and Mustangs produced before 1/3/1967. You will have to look very closley to notice the slight differences between this bracket and the later version.Ford part # C7ZA-2882-C, MPC # C7ZZ-2882-B.

Steel plate for mounting the door pull or grab handle on 1967-68 Mercury Cougar XR7. Right and left is dependent upon which way the nylon inserts are installed. Comes complete as shown with nylon inserts for attaching the door pulls. The screws with 1/2 inch flat head for mounting this plate to the doors are also a available (three required).

There is not a special part number for this mounting bracket that was originally spot welded to the front of the headlamp switch. We offer these for use with our reproduction headlamp switch. This adapter or retainer is needed to correctly keep the headlamp switch at the correct angle to the lower metal dash. 1967-68 Mercury Cougar.

These are the brackets required to mount the optional rear bumper guards. They mount behind the rear valance and are often overlooked when people part out a Cougar. *NOTE* As is often the case, service replacement parts are painted satin black and the originals installed on the assembly line were left natural. The mounting brackets are in fact supposed to have a natural finish if your car came with them from the factory.

This kit includes the 4 fine threaded "T" shaped studs (with nuts) that mount the backing plate to the spindle and the plate that goes on the inside of the backing plate. These are used parts that are not damaged or corroded, taken from a Western parts car.

This is a 100% accurate reproduction down to the captured lock washer and black Zinc coating. The only difference is that these are made from a substantially better grade of steel than the originals.
