1967 Mercury Cougar

Used oil fill cap for 1967 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with 289 engine. This black painted twist on oil cap was found on non-emission cars. Meaning 49 States except for California.*Note - a chromed version was also available with engine dress up kits.

This 49 state oil filler cap fits valve covers that utilize twist-on oil caps. This cap is a reproduction of the original cap that was found on 1967 models with the S code 390 and 289 engines with dress up kit like found on DGS 1967 Cougars.. This has the correct small shield as found on 1967 and earlier cars, starting in 1968 this dip stick gained a larger 'bell' shaped shield that went over the dip stick tube. These dipstick tubes have the 'full' and 'add' markings in the correct place, however they do not have any Ford part numbers stamped on them. This is by far the best, most correct FE pan ever offered. Very accurate reproduction of the C6OZ-6675-A oil pan used first on the 1966 Fairlane and Comet with one of the 390 CI optional engines. It is 100% correct for 1968 and early 1969 428CJ. It is not 100% correct for the 428SCJ but still a good alternative.

Rear bracket assembly for mounting the 1967-68 Mercury Cougar overhead consoles. Bracket spans the roof section of the car, felt covered padding on the roof side. Comes with both small end brackets and clips. Main bracket has a Ford part number of C7WB-65519B24 and the two smaller brackets have a part number of C7WB-65519B38. *NOTE* Will not work for installing the long Mustang overhead consoles.
