1967 Mercury Cougar

This used part comes carefully cut from a parts car and will include all mounting tabs. It is slightly different from the Mustang version as it has a different contour where the dash pad attaches. AC and no AC are the same, but 67 and 68 differ slightly in height of the area where the ashtray is installed.

This rectangular trim part is located on the right side of the glove box on all 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougars without factory installed AC. This could be referred to as a passenger side AC vent block off plate. Our used pieces taken from parts cars usually need to be painted but sometimes will pass as-is for a driver quality car. Controversy abounds on which shrouds received these and which did not. It is our understanding that no early Cougars came from the factory with this decal installed. This decal first surfaced when Ford had major problems with their flex fans in the early 1970's. We will let you decide if it is correct for your application... This is the decal I see on many 1967 Cougars but not 1968. For some reason the majority of 1967 Cougars are missing the decal altogether (unlike 1968 - 1973). My guess is that maybe the adhesive was not as good. I like this decal as it actually shows a Cougar instead of Mustang.

New "Mercury" script decal in black for any Mercury, but will be at home on the Cougar. Measures 10 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" tall.This is a die-cut vinyl decal. To install, you'll have to peel off the backing, apply the decal to the intended clean surface, press in place with a plastic squeegee or credit card, then carefully peel away the top contact paper.

Reproduction oil cap decal for the 67 - 70 Cougar or Mustang. 

This decal was used on the Standard model Mercury Cougar for 1968 and both the XR7 and Standard model Mercury Cougar for 1967. Will require slight trimming for perfect fit.
