1967 Mercury Cougar

This kit is good for cowls with moderate to minimal rust. Easy to install on the driver side, but takes more effort on the passenger side especially if you have A/C. Another way to avoid doing expensive cowl repairs is to purchase our cowl cover.

Crankshaft oil slinger for all small block Ford V-8's, starting 1963 until at least through 1973. 1963-68 289 and 289 HiPo engines. 1968-73 302 engines, 1969-70 Boss 302 engines, 1969-73 351W engines. Goes on the crankshaft after the timing gear and before the timing chain cover. It does have a purpose on the vintage engines. Outside diameter about 2-7/8 inches. Ford part number C3OZ-6310-A.

First generation Cougars 1967 and 1968, used a single bracket for C4 automatics and both 3 speed and 4 speed manual transmissions. This bracket also carried over to 1969 and 1970 with 351 or Boss 302 engines and either 3 or 4 speed manual transmissions. Ford part number C7ZZ-6A023-D. This is the reproduction cross member offered by most of the Mustang vendors. It is over 1.5 Lbs lighter than the factory cross members. We highly recommend purchasing our remanufactured, re-enforced cross member. It is crucial that you use the correct tapered bolts when installing these.

Good original part that has not been noticeably twisted, bumped, bent, or heavily rusted. Notice the factory indentations that are a result of the manufacturing process (dent from jig). Also know that there is always at least a couple minor dings or scrapes from decades of being the lowest point of the car. Used highly collectible Dan Gurney slot car racing track made by the Republic Tool and Manufacturing Corporation in Los Angeles California. Open box and lightly used. Both cars are intact, and the decals have been placed on the the vehicles and the track. Everything is good condition, but the cars have not been tested and the red car has had it's wheels painted. Other than that, this is a rare and truly great find. Features the Mercury Cougar Logo on front of the box.

Reproduction headlight knob, retainer & bezel, cigar lighter and ignition switch retainer.

These studs and nuts are used to repair the passenger side mounting studs. The studs need to be drilled out using a 1/4" drill bit. Once done, use a 2 part epoxy and install the stud. Make sure to avoid getting epoxy on the threads where the nut will be installed. Once dry, install the bezel into the dash and use a 3/8 # deep well socket to install the nut. CAUTION: Only tighten finger tight to avoid cracking or breaking the bezel.

Used metal dash support brace for all 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Fastens to the lower flange of the metal dash panel and attaches to the inner cowl, 8-1/2 inches long. Viewed in the 1967 Osborn Body Assembly Manual on page 23. Replaces Ford part numbers C7ZB-6504672 or C7ZZ-6504672-A.

This 2 1/4" trim part installs directly above the steering column.

When removing this part resist the temptation to "open it up". Instead walk it off carefully leaving it in its factory position.

This unique to 1967 standard Cougar dash trim set is what outlines the gauge cluster face pad. It is unique to the 1967 standard Cougar as it is held in place by black Phillips Screws. The 1968 trim set is held in by clips. Please note that AC cars have a unique design in that the long lower trim has a cut out for the AC vent.

Used aluminum face pad moulding / trim four piece set for the Mercury Cougar.

This trim part starts to the upper left of the gauge cluster and continues on to the passenger side following the line of the upper padded dash.

Only for use on standard model Cougars with no A/C. This piece of trim affixes to the lower portion of the dash face pad and continues on towards the passenger side door.

Used dash face pad for the standard Mercury Cougar that is NOT equipped with air conditioning. This unit will be nice and will not have any cracks, but could use a reproduction emblem and a coat of good vinyl paint to make it look great. Of the three covers used on the 67-73 Cougars we find this one the most difficult to use. Will Not Work On Badly Distorted Dash Pads. The problem is not with the product but rather the design of the original dash pad. Unlike the 69-73 pads the 67-68 pads are prone to warping (sagging) badly. This used part comes carefully cut from a parts car and will include all mounting tabs. It is slightly different from the Mustang version as it has a different contour where the dash pad attaches. AC and no AC are the same, but 67 and 68 differ slightly in height of the area where the ashtray is installed.
