Reproduction OEM Style High Draw Battery Cables for the 1968 and 1969 Mercury Cougar / Ford Mustang
This product has received the 'Crappy Product' certificate. Items that receive the 'Crappy Product' certificate are products that we carry for comparison purposes as they are often the version offered by other vendors or because it is the only version available. We would not be willing to use these parts on our own cars, and we do not recommend purchasing these parts. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT RETURNS FOR THESE PARTS.
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
Each of these great OEM Style kits include all three required cables, proper terminal and post clamp ends. Unlike CONCOURS CORRECT cables, these do not have the Ford part numbers on them. Starter cables are properly shielded from heat. The originals were either 43-55 Amp (Standard) Draw or 65-70 Amp (High) Draw. We recommend going with the High Draw. As one customer put it, "These [standard draw cables] look anemic." (Thanks for the feedback Charles!) Replaces Ford Part # : C8ZZ-14300-

I hate to say this, but nothing fits and for the price I paid for them everything should fit like a dream. I had to go and purchase a Battery Terminal Spreader to get the positive cable from the Solenoid to fit on the battery. The ground hole opening at the end of the ground cable from the battery is too small. I'm going to drill it larger so it fits. The ground whole opening at the end of the ground cable from the Solenoid doesn't come near what is needed. My old cable is grounded to the block the same place my negative cable from the battery is grounded. I'm going to have to modifying everything to make it fit.
These fit and work perfectly as expected
