Unfortunately the founder of Specialty Wheels passed away several years ago and since then the company has changed hands a couple of times and the quality has suffered. Reproduction 14x7" styled steel wheel with a chrome outer rim and an original argent finish between the chrome spokes on the center. No, Mercury never offered them in a 14x7"... We now sell more of these custom made SS wheels than the original 14x6" version. Not only do they look better and allow you to run a wider tire, you no longer have to worry about scratching costly trim rings against a curb. These tend to cost hundreds of dollars less than the latest "fad" wheels and help keep that original look for your Classic Cat as well as enhance the value.
*NOTE* These wheels are sold individually, caps and lugs sold separate. Please allow 4 to 5 weeks for delivery. Early 1967 Cougars could be ordered with the lug area between the spokes painted to match the body color. Unfortunately we cannot offer this service.
NOTE! These wheels are intended to be balanced with a lugcentric adapter. They will not balance with a traditional cone spacer on the tire spin balancer. Many tire shops do not deal with classics and do not have the right attachment. If you attempt to balance these wheels without the correct adapter they will resemble a bent wheel.
