Great fit except for the small screw thread at the top. It did not want to take the factory screw.

    Pros:
    • Nice quality rubber
    Cons:
    • tabs a little too short
For the most part these fit great.I had some trouble with the vertical section that attaches to the frame with the little tabs. One of my seals the tabs seemed to be a tad short and I had a hard time getting them to bend over enough to attach it to the trim. Also it just happened to be the one that got smashed in the box during shipment so the metal frame work embedded in the rubber was tweaked which required some careful straightening to get it to fit satisfactory.

Once everything was installed and the glass was back in they fit pretty decent. The side I had issues with doesn't quite fit like I would like but it should work ok. Also I noticed if I open the vent window then try and close it I have to manipulate the rubber to sit where it should so it doesn't get pinched when the window closes. Im sure this is due to it being new rubber and I do suspect this will get better in time once the rubber has time to mold to the glass being closed. I will probably try and set it in the heat for a couple days and see if it makes it easier to operate.

    Question
    Asked:
Do these have better fit than the Scott Drake made ones?
    March 15, 2023 2:49 PM
    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
These are actually made by Daniel Carpenter using the original Ford tooling. So yes, they fit much better than the ones made over seas. The only issue, which is the same for all the extruded rubber seals regardless of who makes them, is that the extruded rubber shrinks over time, so it will fit differently at installation depending on how long it has been since the rubber was extruded. That is why NOS rubber seals rarely fit like they did from the factory, they shrink over time.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
