    Description

NOTE: At the moment the supplier is only making the late model version of this beltline kit. The late version has a slight bend in the chromed quarter piece, whereas the early version is straight (see photo above).

Made With Exact Materials As Original. Eight piece kit that includes inner and outer belt-line, enough for both pieces of door and quarter glass. These strips run horizontally against your glass and keep water and debris from entering your rear quarter panels and doors causing them to rust out. These kits include the correct stainless steel trim on the interior side strips. Old belt-lines will become hard and trap grit causing your glass to get heavy vertical scratches. You can cause hundreds and even thousands of dollars of damage by not replacing these, please do not wait until "someday" when you get around to painting your car. It may be too late!

We also list just the outer door beltline strips.

Just did this and they turned out great! A few tips to remember: 1. read instructions but don’t follow them. They say to pry staple while panel is on the car and I’d recommend taking panel off and using an awl and needle nose to straighten the staple ends, first! They will release much easier. It is important to do this on the rear panels made of plastic.
    2. To hid the staples in the ‘fuzzies’, just carve a channel in the felt (fuzzies) between the staple posts. You must do this on the rear quarter window felts to get the staple to extend through the thick plastic, so the ends can be bent over. I grabbed it with needle nose and curled it by twisting it, like an alligator would if he grabbed your leg.
    3. There was two screws holding the original rubber piece on the outside of the window. One in front and back. I found it necessary to add two more in the middle evenly spaced.

The job you have been putting off. Glad I did it. Replace old dried Beltline Weatherstrip on doors and Quarter Glass. No more rattling and now better protect against water intrusion to doors. Nice weekend project parts are quality and fit exact.

This kit has the same sized "staples" to attach the felt to the door panel as it uses for the rear quarter panels. The problem is, the rear quarter panels are a LOT thicker than the metal at the top of the door backer board. Good luck getting the rear quarter felt strips installed with the short staples. How much more could it cost to provide two sets of staples? I'd pay $20 for 8 longer staples if that's what they charged. It was VERY frustrating installing the quarter panel felt. That's why I set the material and fit at one star. Otherwise, it fit fine.

    Pros:
    • Nice Rubber
    Cons:
    • Poor Fit
This kit was much needed for my Cougar, as mine were pretty much completely gone. I wasn't happy with the fit of the outside stripping as it doesn't stay flush against the door. For the inside felt stripping that attaches to the door panel, I wish it had holes that were lined up with the pre-existing ones, so drilling wasn't required. Overall, this kit is probably the best available, and is a must have to protect the insides of your doors.
