9-23-2019 Update! We are no longer carrying these as we are not happy with the amount of weight it takes to balance them. Unfortunately the founder of Specialty Wheels passed away several years ago and since then the company has changed hands a couple of times and the quality has suffered. No returns and no plans to reorder.
No, Mercury never offered wheels in a 15x7" for an early Cougar... We now sell more of these custom made SS wheels than the original 14x6" version. Not only do they look better and allow you to run a wider tire, you no longer have to worry about scratching costly trim rings against a curb. This is my personal favorite of all the wheels offered on this site because the 15" wheel puts the sidewall bulge of an over-sized tire just over the upper ball joint whereas the 14" with an over-sized tire will rub very slightly on the upper ball joint. These cost hundreds of dollars less than the latest "Fad" wheels and help keep that original look for your classic cat as well as enhance the value.
NOTE! These wheels are intended to be balanced with a lugcentric adapter. They will not balance with a traditional cone spacer on the tire spin balancer. Many tire shops do not deal with classics and do not have the right attachment. If you attempt to balance these wheels without the correct adapter they will resemble a bent wheel.
Trim rings are not needed with this wheel, caps and lug nuts sold separately.
