1970 Mercury Cougar

This assembly is spot welded to the fender skin. 1969 and 1970 front fender structures are different, this is a passenger side 1970 Mercury Cougar part. Sometimes this area will be damaged in a collision but the skin will still be fine. Due to the rarity of good fenders and the costly shipping you may want to consider repairing your fender as opposed to buying another if this is all you need.

Attaches to the lower front portion of the front fender. Good used brace that may be lightly rusted but not ripped, but will almost always show minor repairs. Fits passenger and driver side. Most often they will have the J-nut still installed on both ends.Ford master part # C9WY-16B134-A.

Looped weld in retainer for the rear seat installation on any 1967-70 Mercury Cougar. This is the front bracket that holds in the rear seat and was used on both coupes and convertibles. We cut out a section of the floor under the rear seat as shown. Make good measurements prior to removal of your old brackets. We think that the Ford number is C5AZ-6263370-B, but we have not been able to verify this for certain. For sure that basic Ford part number is 63370. ...

Used factory installed vented fuel, or gas cap as installed on 1967-69 Mercury Cougar 1970 cars without California emissions. Also fits 1969-70 Shelby Mustang. In 1970 California required a non-vented fuel cap.We stock these in limited quantities, and will have an intact paper gasket. Correct "VENTED" embossed and has the "S" stamped onto the center rivet. Original part removed from an Eliminator parts car many years ago. The frame is the same as the 69-70 common fuel door with 2 extra holes drilled, the cat emblem is the same as what is found on a 1970 Standard / Eliminator Cougar center grille. On the units that have a faded background foil, we gently remove the emblem and replace the black foil with a reproduction. Keep in mind we do not retake pictures each time we get a different unit in stock (which is seldom).This will work on any 69-70...

This is the steel tube that goes from the carburetor to the fuel pump. Designed to fit OEM Carter X fuel pump with screws holding two halves together. Modern Carter fuel pumps are crimped and will need some bending of this tube to fit. Please see item 11761 tube for use with generic Carter fuel pumps.
