This is a grade 'A' used mirror assembly with no UV damage and has had the mirror lens "re-silvered". This mirror nut for the 70 - 73 Cougar or Mustang is made from stainless steel, as compared to the other reproduction we offer which is made from die cast metal. A few benefits of the stainless steel nut is that the finish on it will not tarnish over time, and that it cannot be cross threaded.

Ford Casting number as seen on the bottom side is D0OB-17713-AW. Many people misinterpret it as D00B-17713-AW, D00B-17713-AW or DO0B-17713-AW. Perfect base with no cracks or bends.
