High quality alternative to the expensive OEM switch. If you have an early 67 the plug may be the dual type which is also listed on this site. This will work with your C-4 or C-6 automatic transmission. The only real difference is that this switch does not come with the FoMoCo logo or part number on it. This reproduction universal joint fits the differential end of the drive axle and is used on all Mercury Cougars or Ford Mustangs equipped with the 289, 302, 351 Windsor as well as most 351 Clevelands (see chart). This unit mounts on the main air chamber, it opens and closes the air vent. Made of nylon with a steel and brass plunger just like original. This unit is easy to test and can be seen by removing the glove box. Often it is the internal spring that fails on these and if your Cougar or Mustang will not easily change between blowing through the defrost ducts and the floor duct, this unit may be the culprit. Vacuum tested working hot water valve for Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs equipped with factory A/C. This valve stops the flow of warm coolant when the A/C is on and has the original cast brass valve with bracket and vacuum pod. We are unable to guarantee that the water seal is good. Good used axle vent nipple or tube. This vent tube screws into the top of the rear axle and is a breather / vent to equalize the pressure inside the axle tube. Fits both 8 inch and 9 inch rear axles.
